We started playing this song in early 2007 and apart from the keyboard parts and lyrics it's stayed pretty much the same. I'm just realizing that that's three years, which seems pretty ridiculous.
lyrics
Throw a rope around the sun
Follow it high over everyone
I won't come down until I feel I'm not the only one
I throw a rope so far I start to choke the sun
And I don't think you truly see
What all of this could mean to me
But someday, someday you'll be falling free
With no one there to catch you
And no counterpoint to gravity
When we speak there's no indication
Of what we're thinking underneath
But I can sense something overdue
Something just out of reach
And I don't think you understand
How you turned our lives into games
But even though you're different now
I'll never be the same
