This song is in a weird alternate tuning that allows for some slide guitar work and a cool Cmaj/Dm thing that's going on. I don't know how DJ got the idea to turn this into a song about death but he sings it pretty convincingly, especially at the end.
lyrics
Blurry faint and shadow
Moving trapped inside this dream
Pause for my reaction
Should I choke or maybe scream?
Kicking out my stomach
Illness will not let me be
Looking in this mirror
Pictures that could not be me
Breathe, keep breathing
Fight, keep fighting
Live, keep living
While you are dying
World spread out before me
Drops roll off these bodies
There's no room for pity
Never seen this place so empty
Crowds are all long gone now
All the chaos died down
Silence smothers this town
Nowhere now for me to go but down
Gathered around in white tile walls
The ones who are there around when you fall
Some crying, shaking, hugging, holding hands
Together now through sorrow for a passing man
Surrounded by friends
When you're at your rope's end
And you slip off into the gray
And you're dead
