Someone once told me this song should rock out more, but I like how there's a certain unease that never quite gets resolved. For a long time, this song had the working title "Peter Hook" thanks to DJ's bass playing.
lyrics
Crack a nosebleed tap a drain on life and find a friend
Wake one morning find you lost it all you look again
Never find it here always staring at the ceiling
Eyes are on her life but the signs are so misleading
Take another just a little white pill and lose your head
So drown in the riverbed
And dream of a better day
Pray for a peaceful death
And run from it anyway
Never find it here
Never seemed so clear
As the feelings disappear
Never seemed so clear
It stated with with nothing just an itch at most
Started cutting its way out the back of my throat
Now I reap what I sow as you lie in wait
To put me to rest in the bed I have made the bed I have made
